The Assissment of the Intrauterine Loop for Family Planning in Su won, Kyongi-do between 1971 and 1974

Abstract
|
|
|
The assessment of the use of intrauterine loop for family planning was presented on 2,335 women treated in the author¢¥s clinic located in Suwon, Kyongi-do between 1971 and 1974. The findings were as follows:
1. Age distribution was: 20-29 years was 819 (35.07%), 30-39 years was 1.213 (51.95%). and over 40 years was 303 (12.98%) women.
2. The peak number of intrauterine loop adaptation was seen in July, but farm season had no relation to the adaptation.
3. Educational status was: 1, 166 (49.9%) of primary school graduates, 709 (30.3%) of middle school graduates, and 244 (9.2%) women were illiterate.
4. Living children of loop adapted women was: 675 (28.9%) women with 2 children, 643 (27.5%) with 3, and 317 (13.58%) women with one child.
5. Side effects after the loop adaptation were: uterine bleeding in 97 (4.2%), abdominal pain in 90 (3.85¡Æ¢¥0), and miscellaneous in 39 (1.67%) women.
6. Discontinuation rate of loop was 13.87
